Hilchrome 312R is our rutile coated electrode and is considered the key element in any type of stainless steel, including those that are difficult to weld. Typical applications for this WELD-ALL include joining hard manganese steels, tool steels, damping, and joining dissimilar steels. The electrode deposits a crack-resistant deposit with a higher ferritic content of approx. FN50. Hilchrome 312R is an alloy electrode that can be used with both currents (AC/DC).
